(1) technically necessary processing of data by PLAZAMEDIA GmbH and our service providers for the operation of the website

Cookies

We use cookies to make your visit to our website more attractive. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device and enable us to recognise your browser, among other things. Cookies enable us to improve the comfort and quality of the services provided on the website.

Cookies are also used to analyse the use of the website, in particular online advertising, in anonymised form, to store general preferences of a user in the cookie placed on the end device and to provide the respective user with special, interesting offers and services on the website based on their preferences.

Some of the cookies we use are deleted again after the end of your browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called "session cookies"). Other cookies remain on your terminal device during their respective validity period (see below) and enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

When calling up our website, we inform users by means of an information banner about the use of cookies (technically necessary / essential cookies and tracking cookies) and have technically set up the consent required under data protection law for the setting of cookies for which consent is necessary. With the exception of technically necessary or essential cookies, consent must always be given in advance for cookies to be set on your end device. The user is also referred to this data protection declaration via the information banner.

In the following, we provide you with an overview of the cookies used, their validity period and the respective opt-out options. In addition, we would like to point out that you can adjust your cookie settings at any time and revoke your consent for the future at any time.

In this way, search terms entered, the frequency of page views or the use of website functions can be analysed. The user data collected in this way is made anonymous by a technical precaution. The following analysis cookies are set on your terminal device:

  • _pk_id: Differentiation user and sessions (validity: 13 months),
  • _pk_ref: Detection Traffic Source (validity: 6 months),
  • _pk_ses: Visitor identification (validity: 30 minutes).

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies for statistical or marketing purposes (tracking cookies) on the basis of your consent is Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.

You can restrict or deactivate the use of cookies in your browser settings at any time. Furthermore, at the end of this data protection declaration, we offer you the option to change the settings made via our cookie banner at any time or to revoke your given consent for the future. It is also possible to use our offers without cookies. However, this may lead to certain restrictions in the functions and user-friendliness of our offers on the website.

Marketing cookies:

In addition, third-party cookies are set through the use of advertising and marketing services. These cookies are used to display advertisements on third-party sites as well as social media platforms that may be of interest to you based on your browsing behaviour. The third-party providers may combine information collected on our site with existing information to serve you personalised and interest-based ads.

For our advertising and marketing services, we use the following technical measures for conversion tracking and remarketing: Google Ads and Facebook Pixel. We use the technical measures to track cost-benefit analyses of the ads we serve and to optimise our ad placement. They are also used for interactions with other websites and social media platforms. For a description of the cookies, how they work, their purpose and the options for objecting to them, please refer to the information provided under "(5) Processing of data by PLAZAMEDIA GmbH and our service providers for marketing and advertising purposes".

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies for statistical or marketing purposes (tracking cookies) on the basis of your consent is Art. 6 (1) (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG).

Server protocols

During the mere informative use of the website, we only collect the personal data that your browser automatically transmits to our server on which our web pages are located (hereinafter referred to as "web server") and that are technically necessary for the purpose of displaying our website to you and ensuring its stability and security.

We have commissioned the company Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestrasse 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, hereinafter "Hetzner") for the hosting and technical provision of our website. We have concluded the required data protection agreement with Hetzner for commissioned processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. According to this agreement, Hetzner undertakes to ensure the necessary protection of your data and to process it exclusively on our behalf in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. You can find more information about Hetzner on the website: https://hetzner.com/.

The web server automatically recognises certain data such as

  • Proxy IP address (client IP address of the gateway)
  • Date and time of access
  • The operating system used
  • Browser type and version
  • Use protocols
  • URL of the document page the user came from
  • Choice of language
  • http status (return code) and
  • Amount of data in bytes

The data is stored on Hetzner servers hosted and certified in Germany. Hetzner uses this information for the specified purpose on our behalf as well as its own for service optimisation. Hetzner does not use the data independently or pass it on to third parties. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user.

There is a legitimate interest on our part for the temporary storage of the data and the server logs. The legal basis for the data processing is therefore Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable the delivery of the website to the respective end device used by the user. For this purpose, the user's IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session.

The storage of all the information listed above in log files (server logs) is additionally carried out to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, we use the data to optimise the website and to ensure the necessary security of our information technology systems. We regularly evaluate the server logs, which are made available to us by Hetzner in anonymised form, for statistical purposes. The data has no personal reference. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context.

These purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

The server logs are deleted again no later than 52 days after they have been collected by Hetzner, unless there is a suspicion of misuse or external attack or other system security error.

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in server logs is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website. Consequently, there is no possibility for the user to object.

We use the software "Matomo" (www.matomo.org) on our website, a service of the provider InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand (hereinafter "Matomo") to analyse the surfing behaviour of our users. • the length of time spent on our website,
  • the pages that are accessed from the sub-website called up.

The software is set in such a way that the IP addresses are not stored completely, but 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (e.g.: 192.168.xxx.xxx). In this way, it is no longer possible to assign the shortened IP address to the calling computer. By anonymising the IP address, we take into account the interest of users in the protection of personal data. This data is never used to personally identify the user of our website and is not merged with other data. The data collected with Matomo is stored on our servers hosted and certified in Germany at Hetzner. It is not passed on to third parties.

The data is deleted when it is no longer needed for our purposes. In our case, this is after 180 days.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (hereinafter "Google"). This service can be used to manage website tags. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. No cookies are used and no personal data is collected within the tags. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags, insofar as these are implemented with the Google Tag Manager.

Each time the Google Tag Manager is called up, a direct connection is established between your browser and a Google server (usually to a Google server in the USA). Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

On behalf of PLAZAMEDIA, Google will use this information for the purpose of anonymously evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

Google Ads

We use the online advertising programme "Google Ads" from the provider Google to draw attention to our offers on third-party websites with the help of advertising media (so-called "ads"). We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns. In this way, we pursue the interest of showing you advertising that is of interest to you, making our website more interesting for you and achieving a fair calculation of advertising costs.

These advertisements are delivered by Google via so-called "ad servers". For this purpose, we use ad server cookies, which can be used to measure certain parameters for measuring success, such as the display of ads or clicks by users. If you access our shop via a Google ad, Google will store cookies on your PC. These cookies are not intended to identify you personally and lose their validity after 30 days. As a rule, the unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wishes to be addressed) are stored as analysis values.

The following marketing cookies are set by Google:

  • _Secure-3PSID (validity: 2 years),
  • SID (validity: 2 years),
  • SIDCC (validity: 1 year),
  • _Secure-3PAPISID (validity: 2 years),
  • _Secure-3PSIDCC (validity: 1 month),
  • APISID (validity: 2 years),
  • HSID (validity: 2 years),
  • SSID (validity: 2 years),
  • _Secure-APISID (validity: 1 month),
  • SAPISID (validity: 2 years),
  • IDE (validity: 1 year),
  • DV (validity: 1 month),
  • DSID (validity: 1 month),
  • 1P_JAR (validity: 1 month),
  • ANID (validity: 1 year),
  • NID (validity: 1 year).

These cookies enable Google to recognise your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Ads customer's website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognise that the user has clicked on the ad and been redirected to that page. A different cookie is assigned to each Google Ads customer. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across Google Ads customers' websites.

We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can see which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising media; in particular, we cannot identify the users on the basis of this information.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge: Through the integration of Ads Conversion, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider may obtain and store your IP address.

For information from Google on GoogleAds Conversion:

https://ads.google.com/intl/de_de/home/faq/gdpr/.

In addition to GoogleAds Conversion, we also use Ads Remarketing. This is a procedure with which we would like to address you again. Through this application, you can be shown our advertisements when you continue to use the internet after visiting our website. This is done by means of cookies stored in your browser, which Google uses to record and evaluate your usage behaviour when you visit various websites. In this way, Google can determine your previous visit to our website. According to its own statements, Google does not combine the data collected in the course of remarketing with your personal data, which may be stored by Google. In particular, according to Google, pseudonymisation is used in remarketing.

For Google's information on Google Ads Remarketing: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/9028179?hl=de.

The data collected by Google is made available to us in aggregated statistics. Here, we learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page marked with the Google Ads. This information is used by us to create conversion statistics as well as Custom Audiences and to evaluate these as well. We would like to point out that we do not provide Google with any data for the purpose of carrying out a Custom Audiences process.

We will delete the information provided to us by Google after six months at the latest.

It is important for us to make our website attractive and to increase the interaction with our visitors with the help of this service. We use the statistics provided by Google via the GoogleAds service on the basis of your consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6 (1) (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG):

  • For use in our conversion tracking and remarketing
  • For the purpose of performance measurement of our advertisements to measure the success of specific marketing measures.

b) You can object by installing the deactivation add-on provided by Google. For more information, please visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de .

c) You can revoke your consent to data processing by Google via our cookie banner at any time for the future. By changing the settings at the end of this privacy policy, you prevent technical measures from being carried out and cookies from being set.

However, we would like to point out that in the event of deactivation or opt-out, you may not be able to use all the functions of the website to their full extent.

Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website were clicked how often and which products were viewed or purchased particularly frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ads and what actions they took. We do not receive any information with which we can personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification.

Insofar as personal data is collected on our website with the help of the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). You can assert data subject rights (e.g. requests for information) regarding the data processed by Facebook directly with Facebook. If you assert the data subject rights with us, we are obliged to forward them to Facebook.

After you have given your consent to the setting of marketing cookies, we integrate a Facebook pixel on our website using the Google Tag Manager and enable Facebook to evaluate your surfing behaviour.

The data collected by Facebook using the pixel is made available to us in aggregated statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a Facebook pixel. We use this information to create conversion statistics as well as Custom Audiences or Lookalike Audiences and also to evaluate these. We would like to point out that we do not provide Facebook with any data for carrying out a Custom Audiences process and do not carry out any list matching.

If you are logged in to Facebook with your profile, Facebook can link the information obtained via the pixel to your profile. Further information on data processing can be found in Facebook's privacy policy at http://www.facebook.com/policy and on the Facebook pixel at https://www.facebook.com/business/learn/facebook-ads-pixel.

Sessions are terminated after 30 minutes without activity and campaigns after three months. The time limit for campaigns can be a maximum of one year.

It is important for us to make our website attractive and to increase the interaction with our visitors with the help of this service. We use the statistics provided by Facebook on the basis of your consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6 (1) (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG):

  • To use for our conversion tracking and remarketing
  • For the purpose of a cost-benefit analysis of Facebook ads placed.
  • For the purpose of optimising our ad placement.

You can object to the collection, storage and use of information by Facebook at any time with effect for the future via the following channels or revoke your consent given via the cookie banner:

a) You can deactivate the storage of cookies through corresponding settings or set your browser so that you are notified as soon as cookies are set. To do this, you must change the necessary settings in the browser menus Preferences or Options. We would like to point out that some areas of our website may then no longer function properly, i.e. only to a limited extent.

b) You can object to the creation of user profiles for registered Facebook users by contacting Facebook directly to exercise this. As a Facebook member, you can edit your Facebook settings at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads and object to the collection of data using Facebook pixels. In addition, we would like to point out that you can prevent an assignment to your profile by logging out of your respective social media profile before visiting the website and additionally deleting the cookies used by the social media platform.

If you do not have a Facebook account, you can disable usage-based advertising from Facebook on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

c) You can revoke your consent to data processing by Facebook via our cookie banner at any time for the future. By changing the settings at the end of this privacy policy, you prevent technical measures from being carried out and cookies from being set.

However, we would like to point out that in the event of deactivation or opt-out, you may not be able to use all the functions of the website to their full extent.

IV. Duration of storage

We store your personal data as long as this is necessary to achieve the respective storage purpose or your consent to storage has been given.
